Established in 1989 and housed in a 100 year old building that was once the Old Dog Saloon, HORSEFEATHERS personifies the ambiance of Mexico. Every inch of it's 1500 sq. feet is filled with specially selected crafts from deep in the interior of Mexico, Central and South America. For riverside shopping, the adjoining courtyard and patio present Canterra (Mexican Limestone) and clay for landscaping with a Mexican influence. HORSEFEATHERS offers Peruvian, Mexican and Guatemalan Folk Art, traditional and contemporary, but their specialty is Vintage Mexican Ceramics and Textiles - they are well known for their sizeable collection.

Under the category of "Lavinias' Art" you will find the work of an artist extraordinarie, Lavinia Schlabach. If you are able to visit our area, you may see that exhibits exclusively in her own gallery, OLD INGRAM GALLERY & STUDIO , directly across from HORSEFEATHERS . She has also amassed a vast collection of vintage clothing and costume jewelry, some of which we will be offering from time to time.
